I wanted to pop in here to thank you for being here and for your support with a little soft launch post and recipe. It seemed fitting to send it out on this Lion’s Gate Monday.
August is such a bountiful time. There is an overwhelming variety of locally grown produce available at the farmers market; most of it doesn’t need much interference to taste amazing. Take tomatoes for instance, all it takes is some salt and a generous drizzle of olive oil, a crank of pepper if you’re fancy. Snack on a couple of mini cucumbers while you ‘prepare’ it for hydration and active enzymes to get your digestion going. Tear up a loaf of fresh sourdough bread to sop up the tomato-oil juices, cut a hunk of farm fresh cheese, and there’s dinner! Dessert can be a peach (or 3..) eaten over the sink after you clean up.
