Last weekend we celebrated my boyfriend Jesse’s birthday weekend which led into a trip up north for Thanknsgiving and a visit to the country fair. Tacos, meatballs, risotto, donuts, cake, poutine, turkey dinner and plenty of drinks were had, and by Monday my insides were writhing. Despite my intentions to slow down and get back into routine, life happens! Celebrations and travel are some of the most beautiful parts of life that should be honoured, so I try not to be too rigid during these special moments, plus, restriction has not been healthy for me. However, straying from my preferred ways of eating can leave me feeling fatigued and bloated at best; constipated and irritated at worst. Luckily, I’ve figured out a formula to reset my system, clear out debris, and feel vibrant again.
